The Rental for Iridium is US $9.50 per day however, this includes 2 FREE minutes per day of outgoing calls (minutes can not be carried over to the next day):

• Outgoing calls are billed at rate of $ 2.50 per minute
  (excluding special service calls and calls to Inmarsat phones).
• Incoming calls are Free.
• SMS facility and Data available on request
• An extensive range of accessories are available when hiring on request.

Theft, Damage and Loss Protection (TDP)

There is a daily TDP fee of $5.00/day, customers accepting TDP are responsible for an excess of $750 for lost, damaged or stolen handsets. Clients declining the TDP will be responsible for up to $1600 for lost, damaged or stolen Iridium phone.


Please note: Satellite phones rely on direct line-of-sight to a satellite. Hence they can only be used outdoors or if the antenna is placed at the open window pointing skywards. Weather conditions will have no effect unless extreme.We also suggest making a test call before entering any remote area to ensure you are familiar and satisfied with operation of the phone.
